Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy S25 Edge, its latest flagship smartphone, set to be fully revealed on May 12, 2025. This new model boasts an ultra-thin design, measuring just 5.85 mm in thickness, making it one of the slimmest smartphones on the market. Despite its slender profile, the Galaxy S25 Edge is equipped with a powerful 200MP main camera, enhanced by artificial intelligence for improved photography experiences.
The device features Corning’s Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, providing enhanced durability without compromising on sleekness. However, the thin design has raised concerns about battery capacity, as a smaller battery may impact overall battery life.
In addition to hardware advancements, Samsung is introducing new software features. Samsung Wallet will now support peer-to-peer payments, allowing users to transfer money across wallet platforms via NFC by simply tapping their phones together. Furthermore, leaks suggest that the upcoming One UI 8, expected to launch alongside Android 16, will offer interface improvements such as customizable watch faces and an enhanced media access feature called the Now Bar.
The Galaxy S25 Edge represents Samsung’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of smartphone design and functionality, combining cutting-edge hardware with innovative software solutions.
